Christmas in Greenville
Decked out for my birthday dinner

Sad that Christmas time is over! We had quite a busy five days surrounding Christmas but loved every minute of it. Brooks boarded the plan at 22 days old and arrived in Nashville were anxiously awaiting grandparents picked us up. We then headed to my sister's (Jennie) for dinner, cookies, birthday cake and most importantly for Brooks to meet his aunt, uncle and cousins. We had so much fun and did not want to leave. I miss my sister so much.

The following day was Christmas Eve and we got up ready to make cookies and fudge for Christmas Eve. Paul even joined in and decorated a few cookies. We all had so much fun and ate sweets until we all crashed before dinner time. Everyone came over after church and we had a big dinner and opening of gifts before getting in our Christmas pjs and heading to bed.

Christmas day, we slept late and headed to Chuck and Jada's (brother and sister-in-law's) to see what my 3 nephews got for Christmas and to eat some yummy breakfast. Then, we headed to Jennie and Will's were Paul quickly was taken by Logan to put a race track together. Brooks was worn out and slept through all the excitement.

The following day we headed to Lexington to see Paul's family. It was a nice visit but Brooks was not so comfortable in new environment so was up at 3:30am and did not return to sleep. Brooks does well traveling for a few hours but the 3+ hour drive was a little much and he let us know about it on the way home. Brooks stayed the night with my parents while Paul and I braved the cold at the Music City Bowl. It was so cold so we did not stay the entire time which made me and my frozen toes happy.

The next morning was my last day to spend drinking coffee with my mom. I really enjoyed the mornings with mom and it was great when dad could join us. Our last outing was lunch at Five Chef's (wedding reception site) with Jennie. Then back on the plane to Greenville.

I truly enjoyed family and appreciate everyone so much. I miss coffee with my mom and laughing with my sister and her family. Now, I just have my coffee while talking on phone to mom and call Jennie 2-3 times a day. Will, her husband, thought once a day was bad enough:) I miss them all so much! Happy New Year!
